Anthea

Atlas

Anthea

This is the world of Anthea. A fairly typical D&D fantasy world composed of various creatures and an abundance of magic.

Freyrmore

Freyrmore is a somewhat isolated region located in the northern part of the world. This region overs an area of of roughly 1000 square miles and enjoys a temperate climate. To the west lies the great mountain peaks of Monmore, to the east the ocean of Evenshen, the north is home to the icy wastes of the Karkenshire tundra, and to the south is the bay of Bonkur.

Not much is known about the rest of the world, and only the very rare explorer or merchant makes it to these shores.

Monmore Mountains

A sprawling mountain range that spans the entirety of Freyrmore's western border, from the tundra in the north to the bay in the south. Only one path is known to exist through this mountain range and which is guarded by the city, "The Gates."

Evenshen Ocean

A warm water ocean that brings frequent storms to the eastern coast of Freyrmore. Most simply travel up and down the coast, but a few brave souls will dare the expanse. Not much is known on the other side of the world except that it rumored to be the home of dragons. Presumably where the dragon kin originated from.

Karkenshire Tundra

A large expanse of snow and ice. Covers the top quarter of Freyrmore and is home to only a few colonies.

Bay of Bonkur

An exotic body of water found to the south of Freyrmore. While not frequent there is some trade to the lands south of the bay bringing spices, exotic foods, and strange materials such as silk. Most of what is known from that region is strange customs, cultures, and outfits.

Kingdom of Anthea

On the western side of Freyrmore lies the Kingdom of Anthea. The kingdom was originally named after this world. The kingdom runs the entire expanse of Freyrmore from north to south, about 1000 miles, but is only about 200 miles wide.

"The Gates"

A “frontier” town that once was but no longer is and lies on the Western realm of the kingdom of Anthea, along the massive mountain range of Monmore.

Capital of Anthea

Known for it's gardens.

Courier Network

There are stables, generally every few miles along the main roads, throughout Anthea that maintain a least one horse for the crown. Only royal couriers may use these horses when carrying royal missives or parcels throughout the kingdom. They identify themselves through official papers (short term/one time courier) or via a signet ring.
